Now, if you see that the Minecraft Maniac has missed anything in important in this page: https://account.mojang.com/documents/commercial_guidelines, please let me know. I aim to be legally legit and socially cool. I am only a maniac when it comes to Minecraft; for law and social decency, I do the right thing.
Everyone knows that we live in a world where law is the final arbitrator of what is or isn’t. So we don’t act like the law doesn’t matter. We either live within the law, we try to change the law, or we try to avoid the law. The Minecraft Maniac endeavors to live within the law. Any accidental extra-legal activities are unintentional, and the Minecraft Maniac hopes that these are treated kindly.
Can you imagine a world where the law isn’t the rule of the land? If you have watched any episodes of The Walking Dead, you’ve seen what could happen if law is less important than physical force. It’s scary! We don’t want to live in a world where the person with the most physical force is the person who decides what’s right and wrong.
Rational human beings depend on other rational human beings to do the right thing. We don’t depend on who has the stronger weapons or the more powerful soldiers. We depend on each individual subscribing to the same set of beliefs that laws, facts, and promises are worth keeping.
After all is said and done, we’re really just dealing with a game. Either a video game or a computer game. I don’t want to minimize the importance of anyone’s work or diminish the value of their efforts, but if we’re having fun, and our activity doesn’t yield food, shelter, or community, what are we getting so stressed out about?
For all the time we’ve spent playing games, have we missed out on the value of interpersonal interaction? Of course not! We’re interacting like crazy IN THE GAMING WORLD. We are talking arguing, joking, fighting, playing! We’re being the best we can be in a non-serious situation.
That’s not such a crazy idea! Why shouldn’t we have fun? At the time of this page being written, all the videos shown on this channel are being recorded from an Xbox 360 using a Hauppauge Rocket HD PVR. The Minecraft Maniac is new to game play recording, so if you start at the first video, you’ll see a gradual improvement in the technical aspects of the recording.

Minecraft Maniac also endeavors to improve the entertainment value of each video with each new video being recorded. Will the Minecraft Maniac be as funny as Pewdie Pie? Probably not. Will the Minecraft Maniac be as enthusiastic as Diamond Minecart? Probably not. Why?
Actcually, Minecraft Maniac is a person who just enjoys playing Minecraft. So if you are new to Minecraft, sit back and watch a few videos to see what it’s all about. I’m going to try to keep a few series of videos going, so that you can watch some worlds that are in Survival Mode, some worlds that are in Creative Mode, and I might even start recording how horribly I fly in the mini-games where you race through canyons wearing Elytra.
Now and then, Minecraft Maniac watches Youtube videos, and there are certain things that annoy the Minecraft Maniac that are very common in Youtube videos. Perhaps THE most annoying aspect of many popular Youtube channels is the near-constant BEGGING for likes, subscribes, and notification bells. So the Minecraft Maniac is not going to waste any of your time by asking for your likes or asking for you to subscribe or to click the notification bell. If you like these videos, you’ll hit the like button.
If you want to see more videos, you’ll subscribe. If you want to know that a new video is posted, you’ll click the notification bell. Me asking you to do those things just seems phony. Do it if you want to, don’t do it if you don’t want to.
Also, the Minecraft Maniac is not pretending to be the best player, the funniest commentator, or the most inventive user of mods and crafting recipes. The Minecraft Maniac just wants to play Minecraft.
Come on, let’s have fun!
